Yes, but the concentration of CO₂ is about 420 ppm from 2023 measurements. Whereas your average carbonated soda is around 10,000 to 15,000 ppm. And most people call anything below 2,000 ppm flat.

Was gonna say this. Man we are so fucking the oceans. I personally feel we are past the tipping point but it’s gonna be damn scary when the oceans hit their limit and there’s a mass dropoff in life due to the water being inhospitable.

Idk, how do you explain geysers? If you taste the water runoff, it’s very clearly carbonated (and nasty with a very metallic taste).
I expected most volcanic gasses (and geysers) to be largely sulfuric. After looking it up, I have to agree. The Earth is full of dissolved gasses making it not flat.
I’m not a geologist either, but I know there is in fact have a lot of gaz dissolved into magma.
Considering there is far more magma than water on earth, I can confidently say that eath is not flat.

Besides molten rock, magma may also contain suspended crystals and gas bubbles.
