What somewhat-“friendly” bacteria species are common in Greek yogurt, and would their gut presence likely increase consumption of other dairy?

    Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus.

Are you asking if they would cause you to consume more dairy?

I was essentially asking whether any neurological influences from those species in your gut would cause more consumption of dairy in general, or just yogurt, or neither

It’s a very cool field, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was happening. I didn’t find any studies specific to dairy or yogurt causing increased dairy consumption (from my quick search) but it might be out there

        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4270213/

This one has a lot of the keywords you can start with. I haven’t read it all, but searching for “lactobacillus” should get you to some additional articles

Not sure about increasing dairy consumption, but some strains can increase your histamin levels while others decrease it.

I meant intent to consume, as a sort of mental byproduct of which species of gut bacteria exist in a given person.
