The word consumer is so demeaning… But yes.
Humans are actually the only real producers in the world if you think about it. Everything around you is built by other humans.
We rarely think about that.

It’s more like they don’t make fun games.
It’s a failure of leadership, as usual.
Yeah because they screen people, not just let anyone come in.
To be fair, they are pretty bad, unless you do like America and only allow people with certain skills and intelligence. Allowing refugees from war torn countries is very nice, but ultimately brings that war to the country itself and changes the culture into something very different.

Amazing, we have so much choice now. /s
Love seeing friendly people like this. I would replace Musk and Trump with you on the planet.
People did this to themselves.
Unless we see some kind of regulation, today’s big tech is tomorrow’s big brother.
I’m even more impressed by aircraft carriers. Just one of those things weigh as much as 250 fully loaded Boeing 747s. And it just floats. :)
This is the algoritm I use at work.
Sadly, reddit is not dying. I thought so too but unfortunately only a microscopic amount of users cares about not being subjected to ads, tracking and ridiculous moderation if they get some entertainment in return.
Same with Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook…
A lot of people are depressed and tired (because of society design), and needs these things to pass the time in their lives.
I’m personally making some strong changes in my own life, because I got so ridiculously bored with my own life and realized I’m on the wrong path, spending my time at home so much.
You can just read the reviews and see for yourself:
Of course different reviewers say different things but I think the negatives listed here are huge.
It even has graphics errors. :)
I remember that experience first time and how I had to kill the process from another shell :)
This was before the internet so couldn’t exactly google it either.
Fun times. But I figured it out by reading the man page.
What can I say, most people seem to just buy without checking reviews.
The phone is a failure actually, for many reasons listed in proper reviews.
If you dont know how to exit vim, then yes you are…
Every time I hear about eve, I remember how much I wished it was a slightly different game. There is no way to play eve without investing many hours each time. Everything takes a very long time.
On the plus side, just the feeling that someone may come up and kill you and take your stuff makes the game feel quite scary. I was doing wormholes for a while and pretty much was constantly nervous about getting killed. Never happened though.
All that text and it’s all about sexual things and male privilege. If this is real, it shows you have no real life experience and you need wait until you do to understand what life is actually like as an adult.
Almost everyone is on Lemmy.world, so… I don’t know. Don’t think they made a choice. People who are not on Lemmy.world made a choice at least.
Who are you talking about that is insisting there can be no deviation from the norm? And maybe you don’t realize how teaching works… You need someone willing to learn to be able to be able to have a teacher. Banning words and discussions is absolutely the wrong way to go. History has shown this many times.
And my point is very simple. Don’t ban words. Have open discussions. Don’t support censorship of opinions or words. Don’t be afraid of what people are actually thinking of things. Stop trying to control what people should think, and stop trying to teach them what you think is right.
People will not read something online and change their minds. Just like you are currently reading my words here, and you will not agree or change your mind. Neither will I. That’s how it works.
I can’t be your teacher unless you want to be my student.
Well, you were talking about the positive aspects of autistic people only. Maybe it’s hard to notice that, but it sounds almost like you think they are a better version of non-autistic people. From my perspective, that’s not really how it is… :) Autism or not, people can have a lot of negative personality traits that make them a pain to be around.
Ah ok. Yeah I guess they don’t make it a priority for some reason.
