I’m just going to use accounts other than my one on lemmy.world for a bit while they sort out whatever’s going on.
Spreading out like the fediverse is designed is good. Redundancy and crossposted content is good.
We’re seeing the biggest instances struggle with the traffic lately, so I’m just engaging more with different communities whenever they’re not accessible.
Turn-based combat rocks though! It feels more strategic and tactical.
Was a “fuck cars” user? They can be pretty ignorant and unreasonable sometimes.
Maybe you should’ve just biked that 100 miles. Lol
So much outrage and doom. The algorithm rewarded people being more and more extreme, even about real problems.
Like, yes I lean left like reddit, but not every issue is the biggest scandal that has ever existed.
If you get swept up in that stuff, you’d think the world was about to end. And you’d frequently encounter people who think just so.
Holy shit
It’s the walmart-ification of social media. They’re self sustaining because of their size, but that’s not enough to make them an enjoyable experience. Just corporate, sterile, and lots of bored people.
