It’s nice that the billionaires are getting a tax break on their yachts. I was worried that they might have to get slightly smaller yachts.

It must be rough for those people buying boats more expensive than a house. They really need the tax break.

for boats worth $200,000 or more

Yes. Over $200,000 includes boats that are worth more than a house.

Funny enough I live in Canada now. Not to downplay the housing crisis here, but despite how bad housing in Toronto is, it’s somehow still cheaper AND significantly better quality than what I was used to back in NYC.

When my partner and I were looking for a place, the realtor got a kick out of us because we would get super excited over the most trivial things - like cabinets, closets, and working door handles 😂 You also get essentially double the square footage for a slightly lower price. I’m not even talking about Manhattan, I used to live in the outer boroughs

Everything luxury that the elite get to take part in is at some point reliant on the working class that they despise so much. And if you live in a country where workers have had it relatively good for so long you can’t just take everything away that they have and expect them to still want to work. I’m just saying that these people are so detached from regular every day people that they think if they get rid of all the poor and working class people society will still somehow carry on without them.

How to tell if the people you voted for will actually help you.

Their proposed tax plan or past passed measures include the words “more than”: No. They plan to help their friends, not you.

I was going to say… “Good time to buy a boat?”

Then I realized I already live in a state with no sales tax…
