See the thing is you’re not held to that standard. You realize that, right? If you know of such a crime and don’t report it, you don’t face charges. But Catholic Priests are, they’re expected to as Mandated Reporters, but Catholic Priests have confessionals which do not record or report who is saying what.
If a catholic priest hears a person confess to fucking a child, they need to exit the booth, identify the person, and call the police. If they don’t they are complicit and should be sent to jail—or killed whatever.

Yes but it should also be illegal for you not to say anything, punishable by death via horsepulling. It should be written into law.
