There’s a large number of people standing on the streets protesting the build up of everything they threw out while they collect food and water from aid shipments…
Instead of just saying, we’re all standing here with nothing to do we could maybe clean and organize some of this until they can deal with it?
I don’t expect miracles but I feel like if you’ve got time to protest you can pick vacant lots/areas and carry the trash there. Keep the streets clean and infestation down.
We had a tornado here a few years back at nearly 10pm. An hour later literally every able bodied individual was out with saws, trailers, wagons, carts, food, water, knocking on doors, checking on everyone and organizing the mess for cleanup.
People didn’t just sit around with signs saying “when’s the help coming.”
