    This is also interesting in that the far more commonly heard story on social media is when the theft victim is the poster, and the police refuse to take action to help recover their property even though they have the Find My Phone on the thief’s location.

      I mean, they tracked the phone using Find My, but it was only one of several things that were stolen. The article says the victim’s truck was stolen, which had multiple firearms, like $4k in cash, some drones, and their phone. So police tracked the phone (more so to find the stolen guns, because they absolutely didn’t want those getting sold untracked,) but could only get an approximate location. The location spanned 6 houses across 4 blocks, but they just chose to raid hers for some reason instead of actually investigating all six houses further.
