TBD, they did offer $25 in a class action settlement, which probably equates to the value of permanent PII data visibility on the Internet. /S

Not only do they get to continue business, they never received any sort of punishment whatsoever. Not even a fine.
Not only that, the service they generously offered to help those affected for free in lieu of fines is a data harvesting goldmine.
You’re literally giving the company that lost control of its data, more data to use for marketing and profit.
I think it’s about time we stopped using social security numbers for everything and came up with a better system.
Its been almost 50 years since public key cryptography was discovered. The fact that its not used for everything financial now is inexcusable
