minus-squareɔiƚoxɘup@infosec.publinkfedilinkarrow-up11·edit-24 months agoThere’s actually a way to do that now. Use this filter in the BLE radar app: 00:25:DF:* That hex sequence is used exclusively by the taser company who happens to make all of the cameras for almost all of the police. It works fairly effectively, it spotted cops for me while I was driving past them on the freeway so I think that’s probably pretty good.

minus-squareɔiƚoxɘup@infosec.publinkfedilinkarrow-up3·4 months agoTaser is a brand name. They make the body cams too. Body cams gave BLE radios. I think the sub brand of the cameras is Axon. I’m pretty sure the weapons don’t have any BLE devices in them.

minus-squareɔiƚoxɘup@infosec.publinkfedilinkarrow-up1·4 months agoSorry about that I didn’t realize that it was listed in the store as Bluetooth radar. The app shows up in the system as BLE radar. Here’s the actual link to the precise app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=f.cking.software Here’s a screenshot of the description in Google Play: Here’s a screenshot of the configuration that will find taser branded devices: And if you don’t trust the Google Play store you can also find it in the standard F-Droid repository:
