Indeed, do not cooperate and fight back. They are NOT a legal authority. If they have a uniformed officer with them (state or city), demand the officer arrest you instead. It MAY be worth it to cause a scuffle and get arrested for assault, which could be dropped as self defense. I’m not a lawyer though, just my opinion. You have to fight these assholes. Get the low level pukes into court and tied up fighting charges. Make them scared to do their master’s bidding.
