The federal judge overseeing the case of a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador said she would allow for expedited fact-finding to help her figure out whether the Trump administration is complying with her order that it “facilitate” his return from one of the country’s notorious mega-prisons.
This whole case has collapsed into a handful of choices:
The administration will just apply for an appeal to the decision - 6 months - then if it is approved it goes to a one man Supreme Court ruling (18 months), then they appeal again (12 months) and it goes to the full bench (24 months) who will declare its now outside the scope of action.
1a. Judge goes on a Holiday in Cambodia, so to speak, and is replaced. See option 1.
Well now I’ve gotta listen to some Dead Kennedys so thanks
We have to send monitors to that prison immediately until he’s safely back home
There’s a serious chance they’ll have the guy killed to get the judge off their back without having to be seen backing down, and to show judges what happens when they challenge the regime on a deportation case.
Which would definitely be contempt of court when the whole thing leaks because they added another goddamned reporter to the signal conversation about it
And then we get to watch Fox News talk about how brilliant and righteous the regime is
Because they made the poor and uneducated afraid. That’s why all the guns. Fear of that which they do not understand. They were fed endless propaganda about how Trump cares for the working class. Republican Corporate media let them keep their guns as long as they had an enemy to point them at that wasn’t them. Keep them scared and afraid of their allies, their fellow working class.
