    TACO strikes again.

_I’m gonna do a thing! It’s a horrible thing! And I’m gonna do it, just you wait and see!

    Doesn’t do the thing.

I told you I wasn’t going to do the thing. I’ve saved so many lives because the thing is BAD. Tell me how great I am!_

This kind of thing is intended to draw outrage away from the other horrible things that he’s actually doing. If they talk about things that everyone agrees are insane, then back off, they spread the outrage around and get less pushback on their real agenda.

      Anyway, that’s my theory.

Not just your theory, it’s literally in the Project 2025 playbook. Flood the zone with shit.

I was thinking this pullback wouldn’t have occurred until someone made an asbestos t-shirt and wore it on a tour of a government building, then casually mentioned the shirt materials on the way out. If the trump administration would have said asbestos was safe, then this wouldn’t have been a problem right? I’m glad cooler heads prevailed and asbestos ban is still on.

I suspect it’s potentially due to relations with Russia going slightly sour, as Russia is the largest exporter of asbestos.
