Gee reuters, that’s a classy photo you ran there from - what, four years ago? You didn’t want to go with the one where he’s got a black eye from passing out on the coffee table or the one where he’s literally nodding off in the Oval Office from ketamine or what about - what was that one that was so famous?

    Oh yeah

Well yes, but it still needs to be proved in court that it was illegal, and that Musk was the responsible.

I hope this carries actual jail time… but 100% they will reach a plea bargain where Musk pays some pocket change and doesn’t even admit to wrongdoing.

That is honestly a slam dunk. Here is the Wisconsin election bribery law. By law you cannot offer, give, or even promise to offer or give anything of value to someone to get to vote or not vote for or against anyone or any referendum. IANAL but I don’t think there’s any wiggle room in this law. Oh, and based on section (b), anyone who accepted the million dollars from him is also guilty of election bribery.

I should add that anyone who violates this Election bribery statute has committed a Class I felony which is punishable “a fine not to exceed $10,000 or imprisonment not to exceed 3 years and 6 months, or both.”

I would very much like to see him get 3.5 years in prison.
